Formatting for print is a bit more involved than formatting for eBooks. My goal is to make your print book look as polished and professional as possible and in order to do that, I give it the attention it deserves. Prior to starting your project I’ll spend time with you going over the details of your book; such as font size and style, trim size and other formatting aspects.

After you send your edited manuscript to me in a Word document, we’ll discuss the formatting details of your print book and once the formatting is done, I’ll provide you with PDF of the interior of your book. Please note that I do not read or edit manuscripts as I format, so it’s important that you provide me with a manuscript that has already gone through the editing process. If you use to KDP to publish the print version of your book, you need to be aware that your book cover is not included in the interior file and must be uploaded in a separate PDF, provided to you by your cover designer.

Print formatting rates listed below are based on word count for interior formatting of novels, novellas and short stories. Additional fees are applied to manuscripts that include images. If your book has images, I will review it for you in advance and advise you of any additional fees. In addition, your images must high resolution of at least 300 dpi. The rates listed do not include the cover for your print book.

Please note that at this time, I do not offer formatting for poetry books.

Turn Around Time

The turn around time for print interior formatting is typically five business days, after I have received your manuscript and we’ve discussed the various formatting options. In many cases I am able to complete projects within two or three days, however, depending on my schedule and the complexity of your manuscript, I don’t want to make promises that I cannot keep.

Payments & Scheduling

Please note that payment is required in advance before completed files are sent to you.

Changes & Corrections

I offer changes and corrections on all of my formatting projects at no additional charge. I don’t mind doing it unless it becomes excessive. One way to avoid corrections is to make sure your manuscript has been fully edited before you send it to me.
